Rangers made the transfer move in the summer but it hasn’t one an ex-star’s approval.
One Rangers signing this summer has been handed a confusing tag by an ex-player.
Hamza Igamane was signed in the transfer window from AS Far Rabat for a fee reported to be in the region of £2.5m. He has taken time to get up to speed and made his debut on Sunday during a 3-0 derby defeat to Celtic, which was also the first time he had made a squad in the league.

“So when you go and spend a few bob on a young prospect who’s injured, who’s going to take a couple of months to get fit, I thought it was absolutely bizarre. Because it’s about the here and the now, getting players that are going to be ready to try and challenge for the title against Celtic.
“I get that there’s been an issue over the last five or six years where we haven’t been looking at that market of bringing in young players that we can make better and maybe sell them on. But I just don’t think this was the right time.”
