Rangers make James Tavernier transfer decision after £5.5m Turkey claim and Besiktas interest
The transfer window might have shut for Philippe Clement in terms of being able to bring players to Rangers, however, he could yet see players moving out.
Speculation surrounding his squad is quiet except for the future of his skipper as clubs in Turkey circle.
Besiktas and Giovanni van Bronckhorst are said to be at the front of the queue with Haberturk claiming that Rangers have made a decision should they receive and offer for James Tavernier.

Rangers make James Tavernier transfer decision
A potential free agent move has already been considered by Clement with Cyrus Christie said to be a name that the Gers boss has shortlisted.
There are many reasons why selling Tavernier could make sense, but Haberturk has reported that Rangers are unlikely to cash in with suggestions elsewhere in Turkey that the 32-year old’s price tag could be as high as £5.5m.
Speaking to Rangers News, transfer guru Graeme Bailey reckons that it wouldn’t be a surprise if Tavernier wants to leave Ibrox after nine years at the club:
“I understand that a number of clubs have been alerted to the fact that James Tavernier could be available.
“The abuse that was dished out to him following the Old Firm clash was something that was noticed and now there is a real chance he could move.

“It would be a real shame for me to see Tavernier, a true Ibrox legend to leave in this way. The goals and assists he has managed in a Light Blue have been phenomenal, and the treatment he has received, I think is nothing short of disgusting.
“If he does leave, it will be like an end of an area, the last player from the Europa League final team to leave but I don’t think all of them gone with two-years is anything to brag about. This current Rangers XI, in my opinion, couldn’t hold a candle to that team.”
Rangers might not get a better chance to sell Tavernier
The thinking that Rangers can’t replace Tavernier because the window is shut is a moot point.
Dujon Sterling is a natural right back who has shown his defensive strengths but also his ability to contribute in the final third.
Then there is Neraysho Kasanwirjo, signed on deadline day from Feyenoord and who spent the second half of last season on loan at Rapid Vienna playing at right-back.
Rangers don’t need to sign someone to replace Tavernier, Philippe Clement already have suitable options.
A club can’t pick and choose when players are the subject of bids and this could be the last window that Tavernier attracts interest.
Rangers have to move on from Tavernier one day, why not now when they already have two players to fill the void?
