Manager wants Rangers player – Officials ‘working hard’ to take him away from Philippe Clement’s side

On Monday, Takvim reported Beşiktaş want to snatch Rangers’ James Tavernier away from Philippe Clement’s side.
The window in Turkey closes on Friday and the Black Eagles have less than four days to sign the 32-year-old.
Beşiktaş are looking for a new right-back and Fanatik shares the latest on their interest in the Rangers player.
Philippe Clement has started the defender in every match this season, so clearly sees him as important.
Beşiktaş manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst knows the fullback very well from his time at Rangers. Tavernier was a regular under the Dutchman at Ibrox and the manager wants to reunite with him in Istanbul.
The former Rangers boss is leading his side’s pursuit of the defender. Beşiktaş are ready to fulfil Van Bronckhorst’s wish and will look to make an attempt to sign Tavernier before Friday’s deadline.
It’s claimed the Süper Lig side’s officials are ‘working hard’ to complete the Englishman’s transfer.
Fanatik makes no mention of whether the player or Rangers are open to doing business with Beşiktaş. And that, and specifically a block from Philippe Clement, could be where this plan ends.
