Hamza Igamane and Celtic claim emerges after Rangers v Dundee United

Rangers striker Hamza Igamane impressed Tony Watt after he came on against Dundee United, but Celtic continue to hold a five-point lead over their cross-town rivals.
Gers managed to pick up the three points courtesy of a Tom Lawrence goal which fired his side to a 1-0 win on Sunday, 15 September.
However, Philippe Clement’s side find themselves in third place, five points adrift of Celtic and Aberdeen.
Speaking on the Scottish Football Podcast, as quoted by the Daily Record, Watt, a Scotland international, who is on loan at Motherwell said: “I think at the moment that is not really the question. I think Celtic are ahead of Rangers at the moment and Rangers are just hoping they slip up. While they hope that they need to just keep doing their bit and winning games.
“I don’t think both teams are close at the moment. I do think that Celtic – on and off the pitch – are a lot further ahead but Rangers are not as bad as the performance made out. They are still transitioning. Philippe Clement has said that a few times.
“He’s still trying to get his players in but I think today [Dundee United] the new striker coming on [Igamane] showed he can mix it up, [Nico] Raskin coming back from injury. There is a lot of positives to take. Obviously Old Firm fans don’t really take them but a lot of positives to take.”

Clement needs to ensure Gers dominate games from start to finish and secure wins efficiently to close the gap with Celtic, who currently lead by five points.
