Rangers new CEO update shared by Chris Jack after John Gilligan decision
Rangers may not have a new full-time CEO until the January transfer window opens, according to Chris Jack.
The Rangers Review journalist wrote on 19 September that the process is not going to be a quick and easy one at Ibrox.
This comes after John Gilligan stepped in to be interim chairman after John Bennett stepped down, days after a move to appoint Jim Gillespie as the new CEO did not materialise.
Currently, the club are operating without a chief executive.
Jack wrote: “The process was never going to be a quick and easy one. There was always the very real possibility that the preferred candidate would have to work through a notice period and calls from supporters to have a new man in place to lead the transfer negotiations were never a realistic prospect.
“There is every chance that Rangers now won’t have a chief executive in place before the January window opens.”
Rangers need to get things in order quickly
If Gers are to operate as a serious football club, they need to get things in order quickly.
Things cannot continue to go on in the same manner as they have as it’s not going to benefit anyone.

It’s impossible to have a team succeeding on the pitch when the structure behind the scenes is not stable.
Not having a CEO for the transfer window may not be a doomsday scenario but it clearly shows a lack of preparation.
Any properly-run club would have backup options ready to bring to the table in such crisis situations so it’s baffling why Rangers do not.
This haphazard approach has been going on for years and it’s the players and managers who face the brunt as they’re in the firing line always.

Hopefully, someone with a full-fledged vision behind the scenes can sort out this mess once and for all and help the Ibrox outfit return to the top.
In other Rangers news, the club received lucrative offers and made a decision on them after gauging issues at Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest.
