It’s claimed the defensive pair were both absent from training at Lennoxtown on Friday ahead of the Premier Sports Cup – commonly referred to as the Scottish League Cup – tie against Falkirk on Sunday.
The Scottish Sun report Carter-Vickers and Johnston were not amongst the squad training on Friday.
It’s unclear whether the duo have simply been given time off or have any injury concerns ahead of the cup fixture this weekend.
Brendan Rodgers has previously handed time off to key players after exertions for club and county.
