Orlando Pirates defender Thabiso Monyane is suspended for this weekend’s Betway Premiership clash with Richards Bay.Pirates right-back Thabiso Monyane picked up a fourth yellow card from the bench during their routine 3-0 win over Polokwane on Tuesday. He will play no part at King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi on Sunday. Kickoff is at 15:00.
Monyane was unlikely to start the game anyway, with new signing Deano Van Rooyen already looking settled and comfortable. The former Stellies man has started both of Pirates’ league matches this term and completed more tackles (57) than any other player in the Betway Prem last season.Manager Jose Riveiro has a wealth of options in all departments. He made only one change from the opening-day win over Chippa to the side which beat Polokwane. Kabelo Dlamini came in for midfield enforcer Makhehlene Makhaula although the latter could be restored to the side here to provide more defensive security in the engine room for a tough away assignment.
