John Gilligan has rubbished claims that Rangers are without leadership after confirming that director of football operations Creag Robertson will step down,
Robertson is set to leave the Gers in the coming weeks, with the Glasgow-based club already being without a chairman and CEO after losing John Bennett and James Bisgrove in recent months.However, in an open letter to the fans [Rangers website, 16 October], Gilligan has assured supporters that the club are stable behind the scenes.
“With Creag moving on, I have seen some reports of the club being without leadership,” he said.

While having so many vacant positions at the top of the organisation is not encouraging, the Rangers faithful will back the management as long as success is brought to the club.
Gers fans won’t be bothered by the situation in the boardroom if Philippe Clement and the team go on to bring silverware to Ibrox at the end of the season.
