Aberdeen legend sends message to Rangers ahead of Pittodrie showdown
Willie Miller has cut a confident figure as Aberdeen prepare to face Rangers at Pittodrie in the Scottish Premiership next Wednesday, 30 October.
The Dons legend feels players at the club have bought into Jimmy Thelin’s ideas since he took the reins at Pittodrie in June.
With Aberdeen unbeaten in the Scottish Premiership after eight games and only sitting behind table-toppers Celtic on goal difference, Miller hailed the team’s start to the season as “outstanding”.
He also issued an early rallying cry before Rangers’ visit next week, urging Thelin and Co. to take the Ibrox outfit’s scalp.
“The start to the season under Thelin has been outstanding”, Miller wrote in his column on The Press and Journal on Tuesday (22 October).

Aberdeen high on confidence ahead of Rangers visit
Having won seven and drawn one of their eight league games this season, Aberdeen have all the right to be confident.
Thelin’s side kept their unbeaten record alive after coming from two goals behind to play out a 2-2 draw with Celtic at Parkhead on Saturday (19 October).
While the Dons entertain fourth-placed Dundee United at home this weekend before hosting the Gers, there is a high chance that they go into next Wednesday’s game looking to extend their unbeaten run to double digits.
The mood is quite different at Ibrox after they succumbed to a demoralising 1-0 defeat to Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Sunday (20 October).

With Rangers falling six points behind Celtic and Aberdeen, there is increasing pressure on Philippe Clement, although he retains the board’s backing for now.
The Light Blues will have the chance to bounce back from their loss to Killie when they face FCSB in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday (24 October).
They also host St. Mirren at home in the Premiership on Sunday (27 October) before travelling to Pittodrie.
In other Rangers news, this Premiership boss has been tipped to replace Clement at Ibrox.
