Josh Windass has been linked with a return to Rangers, where he’d be reunited with former manager Danny Rohl – but he could be missing out on helping to make history, should he leave Wrexham.
The January transfer window has already seen a number of transfer rumours start to circle, and one of the most intriguing of all concerns the future of the Wrexham striker Josh Windass. The former Sheffield Wednesday player has only been a Red Dragon since last summer, but his strong start to the season at Y Caes Ras has attracted the interest of others, and in particular one of his former clubs which is now home to one of his former managers.Danny Rohl was appointed the manager at the Scottish giants Rangers at the end of October following their decision to sack Russell Martin after the Glasgow club had an atrocious start to this season.
Rohl has only been beaten once in the SPFL since taking charge of the team, and a six-point deficit behind surprise leaders Hearts following their 3-1 win at Celtic Park in the Old Firm derby means that an assault on the league title could still be launched over the course of the second half of the season.
