Rangers look set to enter the race for Hibernian star Kieron Bowie’s signature. Danny Rohl is keen to bolster his attacking options at Ibrox, with Rangers also linked with Sunderland winger Romaine Mundle.Bowie is understood to be tempted by a move to Rangers, and it looks like the Govan outfit are firming up their interest.
A report from Herald Sport on 9 January claims that the Gers have asked Bowie‘s representatives to keep in the loop over any approaches.Rangers reportedly wanted Bowie to replace Hamza Igamane in the summer, but a move never materialised.
However, the report claims that they have asked to be apprised of any interest from the English Championship in his services this month. It states that their Scottish Premiership rivals Hibernian would seek around £6.5million for the Scotland international, who has scored eight goals this season.Bowie is a two-cap Scotland international, he has significant Scottish Premiership experience, and the Light Blues need to bring more players of that ilk to Govan.
The 23-year-old has made 33 appearances in the division, with 12 goals and four assists in those matches.
The Gers have missed out on several top-quality Scottish talents in recent years, such as Lewis Ferguson, Josh Doig and Lawrence Shankland.
