Mateta came close to leaveing the club in January before failing a medical at AC Milan, and has now returned, but is widely expected to move on this summer.The 25-year-old has been outstanding this season with ten goals and four assists in 33 appearances since arriving from FC Charlotte, with Derby now six points shy of a playoff place.
