Leeds United forward Wilfried Gnonto is a target for the Saudi Pro League this month, according to reports. The 21-year-old has been linked with a move away from Elland Road during the last couple of transfer windows, despite only arriving from FC Zurich on a five-year contract in September 2022.
Gnonto impressed during his maiden season at Leeds and attracted interest from clubs across the Premier League and Europe the following summer. And in an attempt to secure an exit from West Yorkshire, the Italian refused to play for the Whites upon their relegation to the Championship. He returned to Leeds in August 2023 and apologised to Daniel Farke at the end of month. Gnonto managed to get himself back into side and helped the Whites climb the table. Although Leeds failed to win promotion back to the top-flight, Gnonto scored nine goals in 44 games last season.

Despite being subject to a £23million bid from Everton in the summer, Gnonto decided to sign a new contract with Leeds running until the end of the 2027/28 season. He has since continued as an integral part of Farke’s side, netting four goals and adding five assists in 27 appearances across all competitions.
Rumours, however, have circulated about his future once again this month. According to Football Insider, there is ‘concrete interest’ in Gnonto from ‘multiple Saudi Arabian clubs’. It’s added that Leeds do not want to sell the Italy international as they push for automatic promotion from the Championship.
