Todd Cantwell set to quit Rangers in surprise transfer move after Sky Sports update
Dan Bardell believes Todd Cantwell has career problems as he looks set to leave Rangers and join Blackburn Rovers.
The Englishman has made his feelings known over an Ibrox departure throughout the summer transfer window and now appears to be getting his wish.
Sky Sports reported their transfer blog on 28 August (11:24) that the 26-year-old is set to hold talks with the English Championship side before the 30 August deadline.
Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell can’t see a positive fee being involved, comparing issues with his Norwich City exit to his time with the Gers.
Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, Bardell said: “I wouldn’t think a deal would be for big bucks at all.“It’s difficult because it is clear that Cantwell wants to leave, he had issues at Norwich as well. There are some problems there for Cantwell.
“He somewhat rebuilt himself but already wants to come back to England. It is a surprising move, on the face of it, because Blackburn aren’t one of the favourites for promotion from the Championship. They aren’t going to get a big fee for Cantwell, especially if he does end up at Blackburn.“

Todd Cantwell to leave Rangers for Blackburn Rovers
Philippe Clement has been without the former Bournemouth loanee for the entire season so far where his impact could have been useful.
The Gers have secured two wins and a draw in the Scottish Premiership, leaving them third, while being dumped out of the Champions League by Dynamo Kyiv.
Questions have to be asked at Cantwell given that he is willing to reject a potential title race and Europa League football for Blackburn.
John Eutsace’s side barely stayed up last season and probably would have if it wasn’t for Sammie Szmodics.
