Rangers’ potential suitors should be “very cautious” about buying a stake in the Glasgow giants after a new takeover report.
That is the view of finance expert Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider that the Ibrox club’s valuation is “so dependent on Europe” with the qualification process subject to regular change in the Scottish Premiership.According to City AM (27 August), Rangers are attracting takeover interest from American investors who value the club at around £150million.
It is claimed a number of the existing shareholders at Ibrox are thought to be open to selling.A majority takeover from American outfit KRF Capital fell through last year (2023) but other US investors are considering a move into Scottish football.
Rangers have won the Scottish title in just one of the last 13 seasons with Celtic currently the dominant force.
