John Souttar has paid tribute to one of his now-former teammates following confirmation of their departure from Rangers at the end of this season.
With the ‘Gers having again fallen short of Celtic in the Scottish Premiership title race during the 2024/25 campaign, it looks set to be a busy summer as the club aim to put that right next time around.Amid all that, it was also confirmed on Tuesday (20 May) that Tom Lawrence is among the players who will be leaving the club this summer, when his contract expires.
The attacking midfielder joined Rangers back in the summer of 2022, but has seen his three-year spell with the club blighted by injuries.Even so, there were still some memorable moments, with the club posting of video of some of his key goals for the club on their Instagram page after confirming his imminent departure.
In response, Souttar was keen to show his affection for his departing teammate, by sharing that clip to his own story.
The centre-back then added a caption which simply read “My brother” before accompanying it with a blue heart emoji.
