Robin Propper admits rarely seen Rangers star has caught his eye in training
The defender believes Philippe Clement’s new-look side are evolving as they learn how to play with one another

Robin Propper admits he needs time to adapt to playing for Rangers after spending his entire career in the Netherlands.
The former FC Twente captain was solid at Tannadice on Sunday as the 30-year-old helped Gers to a crucial 1-0 victory against Dundee United. Propper believes he’s building a good partnership with John Souttar as he gets to grips with the pressures of playing in Glasgow’s goldfish bowl.
The centre-back has also been impressed by the quality of his teammates and admits Moroccan new boy Hamza Igamane has caught his eye in training. He said: “You have to improve constantly. A partnership has to evolve. I’m new so I have to get used to Scottish football, get used to our players at Rangers and get used to the opponents I come up against as well.

“That takes a bit of time but I have tried to do my best. I think people can see in some moments that we have good quality in defence and when we are attacking as well. But I think we can improve on that and I will try my best to make that happen.
“With John and Jefte, and the players in front of us, I think we’re doing really well. But we always have to improve. It’s the same further forward where other players have come ionto the group.
“Hamza Igamane has come in and in training he keeps us on our toes when we’re up against him. Things like that help you improve. Hamza is a really good player and he has shown that already. Cyriel Dessers is as well, of course. In the end, it’s all about being competitive with each other so we can learn and get better.”
