
Davide Ancelotti to Rangers path cleared as Carlo reveals ‘negotiations’ stopped him joining Brazil adventure
Carlo told the Brazilian media his son won’t be joining him for Brazil’s upcoming games
Rangers manager frontrunner Davide Ancelotti will NOT be a part of his dad Carlo’s management team because he is “in negotiations” with an unnamed club.
The former Real Madrid manager has taken charge of the national team after leaving the Bernabeu.

And after landing in Rio de Janeiro, the legendary boss revealed his coaching team – with one notable absentee from the list of staff.

Ancelotti Jr – who had joined his dad at Bayern Munich, Napoli and Everton coach – will not be part of the set up amid speculation he could be Philippe Clement’s permanent successor.

The path is now clear for the Italian to take charge of the Scottish Premiership side and see off competition from Steven Gerrard and Russell Martin for the Ibrox hotseat.
And asked about why his son did not link up with the rest of the Real coaching staff in Brazil, he said: “Davide is currently in negotiations with a European team, and it didn’t seem right to bring him in.
