Glasgow Rangers are still looking for a player who can step up to be their long-term consistent number nine in the way that Alfredo Morelos once was at Ibrox.
The Colombia international scored 124 goals in 269 appearances in all competitions for the Light Blues, per Transfermarkt, during his time at the club, before his exit on a free transfer in the summer of 2023.He provided a consistent source of goals for the Scottish Premiership giants as their main number nine, and was, of course, the first-choice striker when Steven Gerrard guided the team to the league title in the 2020/21 campaign.
Rangers have not won the league since Morelos moved on from the club almost three years ago, but they could inch closer to doing so by finally finding that reliable centre-forward in the transfer window. The Light Blues are reportedly looking at possibly bringing in a new attacker who could be their best number nine since the Colombian marksman.
