Rangers given green signal amid Jordan Henderson development
Rangers are eyeing midfield reinforcements this summer and have been linked with former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson.
Dr Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has assessed the fitness situation of the 34-year-old midfielder ahead of a potential summer move.
Currently, the England international is plying his trade at Dutch side Ajax.

Henderson should not have issues clearing his pre-transfer medical
Henderson’s had an assortment of minor injuries and they’re not something that would cause any issues with his medical, according to Dr Brar.
The 82-cap England international played 28 league games this past season and missed just one due to injury.

Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, exclusively told Ibrox News: “Has an assortment of more minor injuries, nothing outside the norm, and the club may take a closer look at any recurring ones.
“They will also check whether there are any yellow flags considering his age, minutes played, and intensity of competition.
“I do not see anything there that would cause issues with his medical.
“He’s in his mid-30s, so Rangers will be aware he’s no longer got the legs to perform at the same intensity.“

Rangers could use some of Henderson’s leadership in the short term
Henderson could be a strong short-term signing for Rangers if they target him for the next two years.
At 35, the former Liverpool captain brings a wealth of experience, having won the Premier League and Champions League, which could elevate Gers’ ambitions in the Scottish Premiership and European competitions.
His leadership, demonstrated through captaining Liverpool to multiple titles, would stabilise and inspire a dressing room navigating intense pressure from rivals like Celtic.
Henderson’s work rate, tactical intelligence and ability to control midfield tempo remain valuable, even if his pace has waned.
While not a long-term solution, his professionalism and winning mentality could galvanise the squad, mentor younger players, and provide stability during a critical period for the club post the takeover.
