Rangers FC have officially completed the signing of talented midfielder Lyall Cameron on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with Dundee FC. The 22-year-old had signed a pre-contract agreement earlier in the year and was formally unveiled as a Rangers player on 17 June 2025.
Cameron enjoyed a standout 2024/25 season in the Scottish Championship, contributing 14 goals and 9 assists across all competitions. His dynamic playmaking ability, vision, and energy in the middle of the park made him one of the most sought-after young talents in Scottish football. Rangers moved swiftly to secure his services, beating off interest from other top-tier clubs.
Speaking after the announcement, Cameron expressed his excitement: “It’s a dream to join a club like Rangers. I can’t wait to get started and help the team achieve success.”
New manager Russell Martin praised the signing, calling Cameron a “perfect fit” for the club’s long-term vision. The young midfielder is expected to play a key role in Rangers’ rebuild as they aim to reclaim domestic dominance and push further in Europe.
Cameron will wear the number 18 shirt for the upcoming season.
