Aston Villa handed boost v Fulham as Tyrone Mings shares injury update
Aston Villa could be handed a boost ahead of their clash against Fulham after Tyrone Mings shared an injury update to social media.
The England international has spent the last 14 months on the sidelines after suffering a season-ending injury against Newcastle United in August 2023.
The Villans have had to live without the 31-year-old and have done well without him, securing Champions League qualification last campaign.
With that being said, Unai Emery will be keen to welcome the defender back to his squad in B6 as injuries begin to take hold of his squad after Ezri Konsa went off against Manchester United.
It appears that Mings could be in line to make his long-awaited return after his latest social media post.
Aston Villa could have Tyrone Mings back against Fulham
The ex-Bournemouth man shared to Instagram on 16 October images of himself in training with the caption: “Been through it. Go time.”
This would point towards his return coming at Craven Cottage as the Villans face Fulham on Saturday 19 October.
It will certainly be a boost to have the Englishman back amongst the squad given his importance at Villa Park before suffering his injury.

His last full appearance for the senior side came against Brighton at the end of the 2022/23 season where he registered 32 touches and 17 passes with a 74 pass accuracy [SofaScore].
Mings also won four duels while also making four clearances and two interceptions as Conference League qualification was secured at Villa Park.
Emery will be keen for the centre-back to have a better pass completion rate upon his return, given that his teammate Pau Torres registered an 85 per cent ratio against Manchester United.
The 31-year-old’s aerial presence is something that will certainly be a plus with his last goal coming against Fulham in April 2023.

That day he registered 85 touches and just one shot on goal which was enough to open the scoring and secure all three points.
Mings will be hopeful that he can return against the Cottagers and have as telling an impact over a year later.
