Ex-Rangers star looking to break Ibrox hearts after Celtic stumble v Aberdeen
Rangers have been handed a golden opportunity to claw back some points against Kilmarnock after Aberdeen fought back from two goals down to hold Celtic.
Both Aberdeen and Celtic had enjoyed a perfect start to the Scottish Premiership season up until the Celtic Park clash, which eventually finished 2-2.
Celtic had taken a 2-0 lead in the first half through goals from Reo Hatate and Kyogo Furuhashi before Ester Soler and Graeme Shinnie inspired a second-half Dons comeback.
The result has cast Scottish footballing eyes towards Rugby Park where Rangers take on Kilmarnock in a match which now has added significance.
But there is one former Ranger who has his eyes set on breaking Ibrox hearts as Philippe Clement tries to build some momentum.

Celtic v Aberdeen draw hands Rangers Kilmarnock chance
Rangers have the chance to kickstart the club’s campaign with a victory at Kilmarnock which would threaten to help build positive momentum at a crucial juncture.
The Gers dropped points away to Hearts and Celtic in the early part of the season to see a five point gap open up between themselves and the top two.
But by the 2pm this afternoon that gap could be cut to just three points following Aberdeen and Celtic’s 2-2 draw in Glasgow’s east end on Saturday afternoon.

Whilst there are still 30 games to go after Rangers’ clash with Kilmarnock, for a team trying to curry favour with fans and build momentum a victory would be a sizeable psychological boost.
If Rangers can overcome Storm Ashley and Kilmarnock to win three points at Rugby Park, then the Ibrox side will have been the victors of the Premiership’s weekend card.
With that Pittodrie trip to face Aberdeen (30/10) also looming large on the horizon, Rangers must be targeting all three points in a rain-soaked Ayrshire this afternoon.
Kilmarnock signing out to spoil Rangers fans’ day
Rangers might have their eyes on the prize in Ayrshire today but there is one former Ibrox star who will be looking to halt their charge in Kilmarnock.
Long-time Rangers academy talent Robby McCrorie left Ibrox in the summer in the search of first-team football and will play against his former side for the first time with Kilmarnock.
Whilst there are several in the Rugby Park number with close links to Rangers, there will be eyes on McCrorie as he looks to leave an impression against his former side.
Speaking ahead of the clash, the ex-Rangers stopper insists he’s not dwelling on the past as he looks to play a leading role for Kilmarnock this afternoon.
“I don’t want to dwell on what’s the past…I want to do my best for Kilmarnock”

“I wouldn’t say (I have a point to prove against Rangers),” McCrorie told Sky Sports.
“To be honest, I did everything I could (at Rangers). I worked as hard as I can everyday.
“Some of the games I did play, they were some of the biggest games for the club so I performed.
“I don’t know if I could do much more than that. I was obviously frustrated but I don’t want to dwell on what’s the past.
“I’m here at Kilmarnock and I want to do my best for Kilmarnock and I’m looking forward, so I don’t think about that too much.
“We’re a strong team at home.
“Rangers obviously have got their threats and have good quality players who on their day can cause your problems.
“But for us, going into every game, we need to be solid ourselves and we’ll carry a threat as well.
“So we need to impose ourselves on the game and make it as difficult as possible.”
