Rangers have agreed a deal to sell Jefte to Brazilian giants Palmeiras. The Rangers Review reports that the Ibrox club will receive £6 million, plus performance-based add-ons and a sell-on clause, for the services of the 21-year-old.
That means they are in line to make a hefty profit on the £800,000 they paid APOEL to bring the left-back to Glasgow from Cyprus last summer.
It is also said that Rangers remain in discussions over a deal to sell Ridvan Yilmaz to Besiktas. When recently asked about the future of Nicolas Raskin, boss Russell Martin made a general point about what the remainder of the transfer window holds.
“I don’t think we’re in a position where we have to sell anyone,” he said. “I don’t think we’re in a position where we want to lose some of the best performers last season that we think can become really top performers for us this season and moving forward.
