Iliman Ndiaye outlines the one thing he still ‘needs to add’ to his game for Everton
Iliman Ndiaye is a name that already commands huge praise across Everton’s unwavering fanbase.
And he only joined in July.
Signed after a tough season at Marseille, everyone knew the talents he possessed, having starred at Sheffield United before returning to his boyhood club in a switch he could not turn down.
But, their inability to get the best out of Iliman Ndiaye has proven to be Sean Dyche’s gain, with the Everton manager having been blessed with a dynamic trickster who is capable of winning a game all on his own.
It’s no wonder that Evertonians already love him, and apparently, there’s more to come too.

Speaking to Everton’s official website, just after footage had surfaced of Ndiaye singing his own chant after the Ipswich Town game, the Senegal international was on hand to reaffirm his love for the tune.
He first claimed: ‘Yes, I’ve seen [the chant]. I don’t really know the words yet! I think I’ve said before it’s really important to have a good connection with the fans.

‘They get you going, you get them going. And obviously, I like to think the type of player that I am, dribbling and things like that, it gets them going.

‘So, yes, I’m really, really happy to be here, really happy to have a connection with the fans.’
However, then speaking about what the future holds, he admitted that there is still room for improvement.
Ndiaye stated: ‘Yes, I’m happy… I couldn’t be happier. I can play better and, more importantly, get some assists and goals which I need to add more to my game. But obviously it’s a team effort and everyone was brilliant today.
‘It was very important to get the win [against Ipswich], as much as I’m happy to get the goal, we’ve also got a clean sheet, which is very good.’
Iliman Ndiaye is already an Everton fan favourite
It’s remarkable how little time it has taken for the Goodison Park faithful to adopt Ndiaye as their new hero.
But, with pace, trickery and an unrelenting work rate, it was never really in doubt.
He has everything that Evertonians want in a player, and to have snagged him for a mere £15m only adds to the joy that his talent offers.

Phil Jagielka even compared Ndiaye to Steven Pienaar, another silky fan favourite of the past.
Should the Senegal international maintain this form, he could be the spearhead that drives the Toffees into a brighter future at Bramley-Moore Dock, whilst helping fans to truly enjoy their last full campaign at Goodison Park.
