However, The Daily Record reported via their website on Friday (25 October) that the Rangers hierarchy, including interim chairman John Gilligan, are prepared to put those plans on hold and divert the funds to strengthen the squad with transfers instead.While the Ibrox expansion plans would have seen the stadium’s capacity rise above 51,500, the decision to prioritise squad upgrades is sensible.
