Free agent Ryan Kent has reportedly lost another Rangers ally as he searches for a new club.
Reports in Turkey had suggested the winger was on his way back to Ibrox after his Fenerbahce contract was ripped up just 16 months after leaving the Premiership – however it is now understood that the 27-year-old is now a target for the Light Blues with Technical Director Nils Koppen focussing on a younger profile of player. While a move back to Rangers appears to be off the table at this stage – despite Philippe Clement admitting to being a fan of the wide man – reports in Saudi had suggested Steven Gerrard and Michael Beale had been interested in taking Kent to Al-Ettifaq.However, the chances of a deal appear to be rapidly fading for the Englishman. Koora report that Kent is off the shopping list with Ettifaq focussing on Saudi Pro League talents this month due to league limits on the number of foreign players per squad.
