Aberdeen star makes Connor Barron prediction ahead of Pittodrie return with Rangers
Connor Barron “knows what’s coming” as he returns to Pittodrie for the first time as a Rangers player, according to Aberdeen’s Nicky Devlin.
Barron made the switch to Ibrox in somewhat controversial circumstances from the Dons in the summer, having run down his contract up north.
The two clubs were dragged into a long dispute over compensation for the young midfielder, which has soured relations in terms of negotiating further transfers – and Barron himself is likely to be a target for the home crowd on Wednesday (30 October).
“It will be an interesting evening for Connor,” Devlin told the Daily Record [30 October].
“He probably knows what to expect and what’s coming. He was with Aberdeen for a long time, but I’m sure he will thrive on that added pressure.
“As players you don’t get too caught up in it and I’m sure he will be the same, he won’t want to get too caught up. The atmosphere will be what it is regardless anyway, so I’m sure he’s looking forward to it as well.”
