Rangers set to hire Patrick Stewart in double Ibrox swoop
Rangers will name former Manchester United chief Patrick Stewart as the new chief executive officer, Rangers Review reports.
According to the news outlet’s website [24 November], Stewart will be the latest arrival at Ibrox alongside Malcolm Offord, who is set to join the Glaswegian outfit as club chairman, replacing the long-departed John Bennett.
The Light Blues have operated without a permanent CEO since James Bisgrove left the role earlier this year, but the new look hierarchy is beginning to take shape at Ibrox.
Rangers end prolonged search for new Ibrox CEO
While the announcement of a new CEO at Rangers was believed to be only “weeks away”, the supporters will be relieved to see swift action taken to steady the ship.
Nils Koppen was promoted to technical director after he was appointed as director of football at the start of the year, and he, alongside Stewart and Offord, will shape the new era at Ibrox.

The Belgian fell further behind in the SPFL following the 1-1 draw against Dundee United on Saturday [23 November] – it is only a matter of time before he receives his marching orders at Ibrox; it is no longer plausible for Clement to resume his duties.
Rangers had been reluctant to dismiss Clement without a permanent chairman, and CEO instilled [Ludo Vandewalle], but with that now set to change, it appears his number is up, and further changes are on the horizon in Glasgow.
