Gutted John Robertson was blown away by Celtic hero who ‘completely destroyed’ Hearts
Celtic’s defeat of Hearts rounded off a great Sunday afternoon where Rangers and Aberdeen both dropped Scottish Premiership points on the same day.
The first half at Tynecastle was a bit of a non-event after Celtic went in at halftime 0-0 as Brendan Rodgers’ team struggled to get going.
However, a chat from Rodgers at the break got Celtic going and within five second-half minutes, the Bhoys were 2-0 up and cruising.
But it wasn’t until the Celtic boss made his substitutions that the Hoops really got going and former Hearts striker, John Roberston, was blown away by one Hoops player’s cameo.

James Forrest celebrated his new one-year Celtic deal by reminding the fans of what he can do in an impressive cameo against the Tynecastle club.
Replacing Daizen Maeda in the 68th minute, Forrest was superb and Robertson was blown away by his 30-minute shift in the green and white Hoops.
Robertson told Sky Sports, “You could see the game plan that Hearts, first half, really well, shut down Celtic’s right-hand side. Johnson and Kuhn, we hardly mentioned them, Hearts pushed them to the left-hand side, and closed that side down, making Maeda come to get the ball short to feet, which is not his strength. He likes to run behind.
“Taylor’s passing at times is a little bit slack. So they’ve done it really well. And by making Celtic force their passes, they got the counterattacks. They had opportunities, three or four really good opportunities and didn’t take them.

“Where Neil Critchley will be hugely frustrated is the first goal is self-inflicted. Oyegokie can clear it, he smashes it against the Celtic player.
“But there seemed to be from that moment, an inevitability about what was going to happen after that.
“And then suddenly everything Celtic do they start to come down the left-hand side.
“The second goal comes there from a breakaway, brilliant play, unbelievable finish, Craig Gordon has no chance.
“It’s rifled in by Kuhn and then Forrest came on and completely destroyed Oyegoke as a right back, creating chance after chance and gets brought down for the penalty and sets up Idah as well.
“So what happened really well for the first half, suddenly, one mistake and everything changes.”

Rated 7.5 by football site, Fotmob, Forrest was outstanding once again as a Celtic substitute against Hearts.

With just 24 touches of the ball, Forrest won a penalty, had a passing accuracy of 88%, created one big chance and, as Roberston said, the Celtic winger gave Oyegoke a torrid time.
Forrest also won 100% of his tackles, made one clearance and two defensive actions as the Celtic winger broke Hearts to ensure all three Scottish Premiership points headed back to Parkhead.
