The Foxes haven’t been that bad to start this season. They’re currently not in the relegation zone, and are, largely performing to expectations. However, the Leicester board decided that they had seen enough of Cooper and sacked him after just 12 matches.
Speaking on the Kelly and Wrighty Show, Darren Lewis has been discussing this sacking, and he says that before he was let go, Cooper asked for two first-team signings in January, but he was told that wasn’t going to happen.Lewis shared what he knows about Cooper and what he requested at Leicester.
The journalist says that Cooper asked for two January signings before being given the boot.
“The recruitment has been a bit tentative, my understanding is that he wanted two ready-made first-team players to go into the side in January, and he wasn’t going to get that. The team hasn’t played well, the players are unhappy with him,” Lewis said.
