Steven McLean will officiate Rangers‘ crucial match against St Mirren on Sunday. Rangers have little choice but to get back to winning ways in the Scottish Premiership this weekend, having been dumped out of the Scottish Cup quarter-finals by Celtic.Despite Danny Rohl’s side dominating much of the 120 minutes at Ibrox, they were knocked out on penalties, leading to violent skirmishes between both sets of supporters.
With just the top-flight title to play for, the Glasgow giants will be keen to close the gap on Hearts with all three points, and now, the referee selections have been announced by the Scottish FA.However, McLean has found himself at the centre of several controversial decisions in Rangers games this season, as well as over his 15 years whistling in the top-flight.
Just last month, he was guilty of a string of poor calls during the 1-1 draw with Motherwell at Fir Park, with both sides aggrieved not to have been given the rub of the green.
