Newcastle United have been linked with a January move for Manchester City defender Nathan Ake, who has now spoken out about his future.
Indeed, Ake has been linked with Newcastle United, as they consider a move for a new defender this month. While it remains to be seen if Newcastle go down the route of moving for players with Premier League experience or pursue younger options from abroad, a defensive signing could be in order.
Ake, who has lifted the Premier League on four occasions since joining City from Bournemouth in 2020, has recently been asked about his future.The defender was interviewed by the Manchester Evening News following City’s 0-0 draw with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Thursday.
Ake, who has only started five games across all competitions this season, revealed that Netherlands manager Ronald Koeman has told him to find more regular football ahead of the World Cup later this summer
