Despite the mounting interest, Igamane has expressed contentment with his current situation at Rangers. He stated, “To be honest, I am happy here in Scotland. Here, I do not need anything. Everything I need is available.” Igamane also highlighted the support from the club, noting, “I would like to thank the Rangers club officials because they put me in ideal conditions so that I can focus only on football and my achievements on the pitch.” He emphasized his comfort in Glasgow, saying, “Believe me, I do not feel like a stranger here, despite my distance from Morocco.”
Rangers’ manager, Philippe Clement, has been adamant about retaining Igamane, especially during the current transfer window. Clement remarked, “It is important to know when is the right moment for the club and the player. That’s going to be something for the future for Hamza—I’m confident about that. But NOT in the near future.” He further stressed the importance of consistency, stating, “It is important now if we want consistency that we’re not going to sell players who are performing well; otherwise, it becomes even more difficult.”
While Everton and Tottenham have shown interest, reports suggest that a move during this transfer window is unlikely. Daily Mirror reporter David Anderson noted, “Not happening this window is Everton signing Rangers’ Hamza Igamane.” Additionally, Tottenham appears to be exploring other options, with reports indicating their interest in Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel.
Igamane’s focus remains on his development at Rangers and aspirations for international recognition. He expressed his commitment to continuous improvement, stating, “I hope to quickly reach the den of the Atlas Lions and have the honour of defending the colours of my country.”
