Breaking news:Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has lauded Leeds United as “by far and away the best team we’ve played all season” following their recent 2-0 defeat at Elland Road.

Wilder acknowledged that his team was “beaten by the better side” and didn’t deserve anything from the game. He also suggested that any team finishing above Leeds this season is likely to win the league, emphasizing their strong performance and consistency.

Despite the setback, Wilder remains focused on Sheffield United’s promotion ambitions. He highlighted the need for squad reinforcement, especially considering recent injuries and a congested fixture schedule. Wilder expressed confidence in his team’s ability to recover quickly and continue their push for a top-two finish, stating, “We’ve got 60 points and we are in the mix. So take it on the chin, move quickly on, get over it, not feel sorry about ourselves.”

The Blades’ next challenge is an away match against Derby County, where they aim to return to winning ways and maintain pressure on the league leaders.
