Preston North End manager Paul Heckingbottom is preparing for a major summer overhaul as he tries to galvanise his side for a strong finish to a mid-table season.
Preston are back at Deepdale to host Stoke City on Saturday, sitting 14th in the Championship with seven games to play, seven points ahead of the bottom three, five behind Sheffield Wednesday in the last place in the top half and 10 behind the play-off spots.They were knocked out of the FA Cup at the quarter-final stage by Aston Villa last Sunday and lost at Derby County in the league on Wednesday to take the wind out of their hopes to keep things interesting.
