The club’s strategy for the forthcoming transfer market will be determined through ongoing discussions with new head coach Danny Rohl.
Rangers spent significantly in the summer but recouped much of this through player sales, including the departures of Hamza Igamane and Cyriel Dessers.
However, with only one league victory from eight games this season, concerns have been raised over the quality of the first team squad.Mr Cavenagh said on Sky Sports: “We will sit with Danny over the next two months as we go through this series of matches and look at what the squad needs.
“We do not believe the squad is complete today – we didn’t believe it coming out of the summer window.
“We’ve always known that we probably need a little bit more experience and steel, and we didn’t expect to get everything we wanted in one window.If there’s something that we need to do in the January window, then yeah, we can put more money into the club.”
The chairman also acknowledged that the start to the season has been challenging, but remains optimistic about the club’s future.
