“Steven Gerrard, we heard at the time it was the timing, but he jumped on a plane from Bahrain to London in six hours,” said he pundit live on Sky Sports on Saturday.Signed from Everton over the summer in a deal that could rise to £10million with add-ons, the striker has yet to score in any of his eight Rangers appearances so far.
“Chermiti’s been brought in from Everton and I don’t see it,” Boyd continued. “I really don’t see it.
“I know he’s a young boy, but for that kind of money, you have to come in and rip the league up. He’s not scored, he’s not looked like scoring, so the recruitment is questionable.”
