BREAKING NEWS: FC Celtic are weaker but Rangers can concentrate on only one thing – Barry Ferguson.

It was a busy deadline day at Ibrox with a couple of ins and outs before the window shutAs the clock ticked towards 11pm on Monday night, I’m sure the Celtic fans were expecting to see Brendan Rodgers get the proven striker he’s been desperate forInstead, they were forced to wait another 24 hours just to see Kelechi Iheanacho announced as their new frontline recruit only a day after he’d been released by Sevilla.Somehow, Celtic seem to have come out of the window with a squad that in some people’s eyes is weaker than the group they entered it with, despite having a decent bank stash sitting there ready to be spent.No doubt there are some Rangers fans looking at Celtic’s troubled transfer drive and getting excited about the prospect of a Parkhead collapse.

But that’s not my viewpoint.

In fact, I wouldn’t pay one blind bit of notice to what is going on in the East End.While the Parkhead hierarchy are hunkering down amid a backlash from the seething Celtic support, it was refreshing to see someone at Ibrox come out and address some of the issues that have been frustrating Rangers fans this season.
