DONE DEAL: Benjamin Nygren Signs 4-years contract for Celtic in €1.5m Transfer

Celtic have officially confirmed the signing of Swedish forward Benjamin Nygren from FC Nordsjaelland in a move worth €1.5 million. The 23-year-old has penned a four-year contract, keeping him at Celtic Park until June 2029, with an option for an extra year.

Nygren, who previously shone in the Danish Superliga with 16 goals last season, brings versatility and attacking creativity to Brendan Rodgers’ squad. Known for his flair and eye for goal, he can operate across the front three or as an attacking midfielder.

This strategic signing reinforces Celtic’s long-term planning as they prepare for both domestic and European challenges. With his contract at Nordsjaelland set to expire in January 2026, Celtic acted decisively to secure the player at a bargain fee.

🗣️ “A talented addition with high potential, Benjamin will offer us a new dynamic in attack,” said Rodgers.

Nygren has already featured for Sweden’s senior national team and is widely regarded as one of Scandinavia’s rising stars. His arrival is expected to add both depth and spark to the Hoops’ frontline for the upcoming season.
