‘Donald Trump’ moment for Celtic fans after Rangers incident – Simon Jordan
Rangers’ dramatic Old Firm Derby victory over Celtic on Sunday was not without its controversy.
The Bears held a 2-0 lead at half-time thanks to goals from both Nicolas Raskin and Mohamed Diomande, but the hosts drew themselves level in the second-half with strikes coming from Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate.
However, it was the Gers who had the last laugh when Hamza Igamane latched onto Jack Butland’s long goal-kick and fired home to clinch a 3-2 win for his side at Celtic Park.
But Rangers ace Vaclav Cerny made himself the main talking point after the match, when he squirted water in the direction of Celtic supporters while celebrating Igamane’s winner.

Following his actions at Celtic Park on Sunday, Czechia international Cerny could be facing an eight-game ban.

The winger is also at the centre of a Police Scotland probe, while Celtic supporters remain angry with his reaction to Rangers; winning goal.
Speaking on talkSPORT on 19 March, host Simon Jordan said: “Fans are in the stadium for a slightly different reason than professional footballers.
“Fans are there to support their club, they’re not particularly balanced.

“What he (Cerny) did there, I think was bloody stupid.
“Explainable to some extent, if he’d have run along the touchline pulling a hand gesture, but there would have been incitement there as well on that basis.
“But I’m not sure that the police will go with it.
“What are they going to charge him with?
“This is a Donald Trump moment where they ultimately gave the Celtic fans licence to riot.”
Rangers could be handed huge Cerny blow
If Cerny is handed an eight-game ban by the Scottish FA, then he will miss the remainder of his side’s Premiership games this season.
The Gers are already 13 points behind league leaders Celtic, and consequently have no realistic chance of winning the title this season.

Cerny has been a strong asset for the Gers this term
But interim boss Barry Ferguson will be keen to steer the Light Blues towards a positive end to an otherwise uninspiring domestic season.
However, losing Cerny for the remainder of the Scottish Premiership campaign will come as a major blow to the Rangers, as he has been a real asset this term.
He has notched 11 goals and two assists in 27 league outings this season, and is Rangers’ joint top scorer in the competition alongside striker Cyriel Dessers.
Thankfully for the Gers, though, Cerny’s ban will not apply to their Europa League fixtures, while they are set to lock horns with Spanish side Bilbao in the quarter-finals next month.
