Former Michigan punter Brad Robbins is back in the NFL.
The Ohio native has agreed to terms with the Buffalo Bills, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network first reported Monday.Robbins was a sixth-round of the Bengals in 2023 but was released by Cincinnati last October. He punted in all 17 games for the Bengals as a rookie, averaging 44.3 yards per punt and pinning 20 of his 76 inside the 20-yard line. However, he was placed on injured reserve in August and was released Oct. 1 after being activated. By the time he was healthy, rookie Ryan Rehkow had cemented himself as Cincinnati’s No. 1 punter, averaging 49.1 yards in 2024.
Robbins is expected to compete for the Bills’ starting job with Jake Camarda, who they also signed this offseason. Camarda, a 2022 fourth-round pick, spent the first three years of his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
At Michigan, Robbins appeared in 44 games over six seasons, finishing second in program history in career punting average (42.0). He was a three-time all-Big Ten honoree.
