Rangers could be backed with a £20-25million budget in the transfer window following 49ers Enterprises’ takeover, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the prospective new owners plan to build the club’s revenue while allowing the manager and recruitment staff room to spend.Meanwhile, qualifying for the Champions League either through the Europa League or next season would provide an additional boost to the club’s finances.
However, this will come as part of a long-term strategy, and the current priorities remain to find a replacement for Philippe Clement and sort out the financial situation.
