Add in the fact that Jota is injured and probably won’t return until 2026, then some fresh legs are needed up top.
Celtic are set to sign Callum Osmand from Fulham, but he is 19-years-old and will probably take Kenny’s place for next season.A more senior face is needed, and there is one big name available in the market.There are new investors at Rangers, and it’s going to be interesting to see what they do in the summer market, but one of English football’s ‘natural predators’ has been told to join the champions of Scotland.
“Vardy. I would take Vardy,” said McAvennie. “I know they are talking about him going to Rangers, but I would take Vardy at Celtic.
“They (Ings and Vardy) are goal scorers. Two of them are goal scorers. They are just natural predators. Get them up here. Good names.
“The two of them know where the back of the net is. People keep saying, ‘you don’t look up’. You don’t have to look up. Goals don’t move. It’s the only thing on the pitch that doesn’t move.”
