Rangers man on verge of Ibrox exit – Deal and personal terms agreed, on site to finalise move
Rabbi Matondo is on the verge of leaving Rangers to join Hannover 96 on loan until the end of the season.
That’s according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, who reports the winger is already on site with the German side ready to complete the move from Ibrox.
He states that negotiations with Rangers over a loan deal until the end of the season, which will include an option to buy, is in the final stages.
The Rangers winger already has a verbal agreement with the German side for him to leave Ibrox in the coming days. The 24-year-old is now in Germany, presumably to undergo a medical ahead of the deal being finalised.
He’s barely featured under Philippe Clement this season, with just eight appearances and 327 minutes in total so far. He has not been in Rangers’ squad for their last two league games, the wins over Aberdeen and Dundee United.
Most of his absence has been due to a hamstring injury that kept him out from September until the middle of November, but he then spent five games out of the squad before returning for a 24 minute appearance against Motherwell at the end of December.
It appears he and Rangers have now decided to part ways, with Hannover 96 now finalising a deal to sign him on loan from Ibrox.
