BBC NEWS: Jurgen Klopp is poised to be ‘the Leeds United manager’

Jurgen Klopp has been heavily tipped to take over from Carlo Ancelotti as the next Real Madrid manager but is considered unlikely to take the job.

Since leaving Liverpool last season, the German has repeatedly been mentioned in conversations about Los Blancos’ future, despite his role at Red Bull.As part of his agreement with the energy drink brand’s football arm, he would be allowed to become the Germany international manager should the opportunity arise.

Outside of that, he is unlikely to step back into club management in the near future, with Xabi Alonso more likely to take over from Ancelotti at Real Madrid.Former Leeds goalkeeper Paul Robinson, speaking to Football Insider, joked that Klopp’s next step into management is more likely to be at Elland Road.Former Liverpool boss Klopp was appointed the Global Head of Soccer at Red Bull, who own a minority ownership stake of around 10% in Leeds, last year.
