Kieran Dowell and Jose Cifuentes second chance considered with one Rangers condition
Rangers will already have a long list of potential targets to sign in the summer with the list of potential risk departures every bit as long.
Barry Ferguson is the current man in charge, however, a new Rangers manager, is an immediate priority once Patrick Stewart has appointed a sporting director.
As well as the B team players who left on loan in January, Rangers also have senior loanees who decisions will have to be made on.
Two such players will be Kieran Dowell and Jose Cifuentes, who will be returning to a midfield in desperate need of reinforcements.

Can Kieran Dowell and Jose Cifuentes resurrect Rangers careers?
Once players are written off by the Ibrox faithful, that tends to be it, but could there be a way back for the two 2023 Rangers signings?
Neither player really settled in Glasgow or coped with the weight of the Light Blue jersey, there were though, mitigating circumstances.
Dowell arrived from Norwich City as a wide forward or No.10 and was promptly shoehorned into a No.8 role that he was unaccustomed to.
It is also well know, that this particular role has been a thankless task in recent seasons, outnumbered and overworked.

Cifuentes struggled to adapt to the climate and the language despite being a player previously linked with moves to the Premier League and had a £6m valuation.
Both are now thriving, playing consistently and playing well.
Dowell is earning rave reviews at Birmingham, and there is a common theme.
The teams they are playing in don’t have two midfielders trying to do the work of three.
They have more support at both ends of the park and are able to concentrate on their own jobs.
Should Dowell and Cifuentes be given a second chance?
It’s not a question of signing players for the new manager, it’s a question of providing the new manager with the type of players who can be a success for Rangers.
Neither Dowell, nor Cifuentes can dictate the tempo of a game, dominate physically or cover as much ground as Nicolas Raskin did against Fenerbahce.
The question that Nils Koppen needs to ask is, would they get a game for Celtic?
It’s not unfair to suggest that Dowell and Cifuentes wouldn’t even get on Celtic’s bench.
For that reason alone, Rangers should make the most of their current good form and move them on for as much money as possible.
