TRANSFER NEWS:Leeds United Step Up Pursuit of Shea Charles and Sean Longstaff in Midfield Revamp

Leeds United have intensified their summer transfer activity with a double midfield swoop, targeting Southampton’s Shea Charles and Newcastle United’s Sean Longstaff. The Whites, eager to bolster their squad ahead of a Premier League return, are reportedly advancing talks for both players as manager Daniel Farke seeks to reinforce his midfield options.

Shea Charles, the 21-year-old Northern Ireland international, impressed on loan at Sheffield Wednesday last season and has attracted interest with his physical presence and versatility. Southampton are reluctant to sell, but Leeds are keen to test their resolve.

Meanwhile, Sean Longstaff has emerged as a key target from Newcastle United. The experienced 27-year-old, with over 170 Premier League appearances, could be allowed to leave St. James’ Park this summer as Eddie Howe reshapes his squad. Leeds are exploring a £10 million move and hope the promise of regular football will tempt Longstaff to Elland Road.

With negotiations underway, Leeds fans are hopeful the double move could provide the perfect blend of youth and experience in the engine room.
