Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has given the green light for striker Joël Piroe to join Rangers on loan after the Dutch forward agreed personal terms with the Scottish club. The move comes as Rangers look to bolster their attacking options for the upcoming season.
Piroe, who joined Leeds from Swansea City last summer, has struggled to cement a regular starting place under Farke despite scoring crucial goals. With Leeds pushing for promotion back to the Premier League, the German manager has opted to reshuffle his squad, allowing Piroe to gain more game time elsewhere.
Rangers manager Philippe Clement has been keen to add firepower to his squad, and Piroe’s goal-scoring ability in the Championship makes him a valuable addition. The deal is expected to be a straight loan without an obligation to buy, allowing the forward to return to Elland Road at the end of the season.
