TRANSFER UPDATE: Everton backed to accept ‘£80m’ Leeds bid – Exclusive

Everton look as though they could be in regular contact with Leeds United this summer.

Angus Kinnear has been terminated by Leeds ahead of taking over as Everton’s Chief Executive Officer at the beginning of June.It looks as though Nick Hammond is set to follow Kinnear from Leeds to Merseyside.

However, the Whites are keen to ensure business with Everton isn’t one-way traffic and are now interested in signing a player from the Toffees. As reported by Rob Dorsett of Sky Sports News (7 May), Leeds have a transfer budget of more than £100million this summer as they look to consolidate their position in the Premier League, and are keen on Everton’s Beto. However, ex-Goodison scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – believes the Toffees would require a much larger fee to consider a sale.
